Photographers Dream...

Last week one of my best friends welcomed into the world her new baby boy.  4 days later, I was able to set up shop and spend a few perfect hours attempting to capture the cuteness that is baby Silas, which is impossible because he's the cutest thing ever!  This was definitely the best session I've ever shot, he was so good to me!!  Here are a just a few of my favorites... :)

Let me just say here, that this is a shot I've been dreaming of for SO long... I love that I was able to get it!!  I'm definitely learning as I go along and this one was a baby posing, picture composit-ing learning experience, but I love it!!

This one... oh this one is at the top of my list right now for favorite baby picture ever... It's another one that I've spent many hours dreaming of, and I'm so glad I got it!!

Thanks so much to Silas' family (I also got amazing pics with his big brother and mom and dad and grandma too!!) for letting me come into your life on just day 4 with all my craziness!! I love not only the amazing results we got in pictures, but just the time I was able to bond with the whole family!!  You guys are truly some of my most favorite faces! Love you bunches!!

Oh that's right, I'm supposed to blog!!

We've been having so much fun this summer, that um.... errrr... I kinda forgot to blog... Ah... (no one is really surprised right??)

So it's been a couple of awesome weeks of summer vacation so far!!  We've done lots of water park time, lots of pool time, basketball camp (3 weeks left of that!) and this past week we were at Disney!! (a whole post coming about that soon!!)

For now - enjoy the pics of the first week of summer!! :)

and then... the unthinkable happened...  If you know me, and well you're reading my blog so you do.  I have refused REFUSED to buy light up shoes for Greyson.  Because, I think they are tacky, and they always have characters on them, and don't even get me started on character clothing (Greyson has PJ's and maybe like 4 other character items.) So even though he begs and pleads and is ever so cute, I've always said "NO"  until we found these bad boys at Disney this week... Mickey Crocs, that LIGHT UP!!  Greyson loves them, and honestly, I like them too... :)  Oh Disney - so clever...

Saying Good bye is tough stuff...

Especially when she's his first true love...

Friday, was a tough day.  Greyson had to say goodbye to his teacher...  And not just good bye for the summer, because the very next day, she left for Wisconsin... He's heartbroken.  It's ridiculously cute and oh so sad at the same time...

She was/is truly an amazing teacher.  She was exactly what Greyson needed this year, and Greg and I could not appreciate everything she has done for Greyson more.  If I had my way, she'd be Greyson's teacher every year for the rest of his life!!

He hugged her goodbye and as we walked to the car, he had to run back to get one more hug, and then the tears streamed down his face and we drove home.  I know that he will always remember her and I have no doubt that he will always love her...

What a wash...

Well we "had" big plans for the weekend, but then tropical storm Beryl had to go change them!! Saturday was nice and you were feeling better so we did manage to get to the water park and soak up some sun then... 

Sunday was supposed to be a beach day, but it was so windy and cloudy and and rainy and yuck...

Today was more of the same only more rain and more yuck...

We did get lots of naps and quiet snuggle time at home though... so that's not all bad. 

4 more days of school!!  Yay!!

So close little man... so close!!

You stayed home today, with a sore throat and runny nose and just a general, blah... Daddy had been out of town some this week and was more than happy to stay home with you, so he did, and you did and by noon, your throat was better but your nose was still runny...

Hopefully the rest did you good.  A nice long weekend, filled with ocean air and then 4 days of Kindergarten... You are almost 1st grade bound my love!!  CA-RAZY!!

I'm so ready for summer dude.  So ready.

The first week we shall bake in the sun, the second week we are Disney bound... So far it sounds just about right...

Greyson, I can't even begin to tell you how much I love you.  I think that you are the cutest, most clever, most kind and amazing boy ever.  You make my heart smile!!  I love you!!
