This weekend was my 3rd running of the Gate River Run 15k. It is by far one of my favorite races ever, there is just something about being surrounded by 20,000 other runners, the music all along the course, the best spectators ever and the Heart bridge finish (which is dubbed, heart break bridge, because whoa... after 8 miles, the last thing you want to do is run up a super long bridge!) and the fact that it's the national championship race so it brings in all the big name runners from all over the world - the Kenyans were finishing before I even hit mile 4... yeah. Anyway, it's just an amazing race and I got a new PR this year taking 6 whole minutes off of last years time - OH YEAH!!
Needless to say though, that meant that Greyson had mostly Daddy time all weekend, and boy did it show... All he wanted to do was hang with his dad, even tonight at bed time! Part of me loves to see it, because most of the time, Greyson is a momma's boy, so it feels good to know that Greg is getting that love, but part of me was crushed!! When my boy opts to go play with dad rather than mom... whoa... :( Not yet baby boy, not yet!! I know it's coming when you two will be off doing "guy" things that mom's not cool enough for, but not yet, not now... I need my baby boy time!!
The worst part, next weekend I'm going to be super busy and gone too... Greg is having way too much fun feeling smug... :)
