Tender...

I read Greyson "The Giving Tree" for the first time ever tonight.

He handled the boy taking the apples with no shock or concern...

He whispered "This makes me sad" when the boy took the branches...

The tears started when the boy cut down the tree's trunk...

"Do you want me to stop the story baby?" I asked.

"No momma, keep reading."

and by the end, when all that was left was the stump, and even though the stump was happy, my dear sweet Greyson was not. The tears ran down his cheeks, and he wailed, "How could that boy be so selfish?!?"

I've often used the words "tender hearted" to describe him...

Indeed.

I love you, my tender hearted boy. You are simply the most amazing thing ever.

  2. Dear Heather and Greyson,

Grandma is so glad that you had a really fun spring break! I always loved it when your Mommy could stay at home when she didn't have school. I love you both with all my heart and wish so much that I could see you both!
    Always and forever,
    Mom and Grandma xoxo
