and then we needed glasses...

We found out last week that you're going to need glasses... You seem thrilled with idea and happily picked out the most trendy pair available... You actually look adorable in them, but I worry, worry that you'll loose them, break them, refuse to wear them... The biggest predicament is that your left eye is perfect 20/20! So it's been making up for your right eye (20/50! yikes!) all this time, so with both eyes you see fine, but the Dr. thinks that if we can keep you in glasses, now while your young and your eyes are still developing, that quite possibly we can get your right eye to maybe 20/25 and by the time your 7 or 8 you won't need them at all... We also talked about doing some "patching therapy" which, as sure as I am that you would love to be a pirate for a year, I'm not so fond of the idea... So we'll pick up your glasses this week and see how it goes... Knowing you, you'll take it all in stride and it will work out just fine... :)
