{ Love }

Becoming a mother, becoming his mother, was and is the easiest thing I've ever done. There is no reason for my love, it's just there and every day I wake up and there is more of it. I think to myself there is no way I could ever love him more than I do at this very moment, and then I look at him and instantly I do. We spend our days laughing and giggling, sharing secrets and adventures. Together we face the world, the day, the endless errands and jobs to be done. Together we walk hand in hand across streets and parking lots, parks and fields, together we play, we work, we rest. He's my best friend, my sidekick, he's definitely mommy's boy.

He knows what he’s talking about…

The following conversation happened at breakfast the other day.

M.I.L (mother-in-law): Jordan received a couple of scholarships and won the Thespian award! I’m not really sure what the Thespian award means but…

Greyson: It’s what you clean the dust up with!

Everyone: Huh??

Greyson: You clean the dust up with the dustpan, the Dustpan award!!!

Thespian – Dustpan – eh… close enough!!

Animal Kingdom...

Sick of Disney posts yet?

Greyson and I spent the day down at Animal Kingdom on Friday, and as always had a blast. The crowds were pretty light, and it was pretty HOT but not so bad that we couldn't manage. Here are a few of the snap shots I took during the day.

Oh, and yes there was an outfit change mid-day, apparently at Animal Kingdom the child size cheese pizza is made 10% crust, 10% cheese and 80% SAUCE!! Needless to say, Greyson looked like the lions had attacked our Safari ride by the time he was done, red pizza sauce from head to toe!! I was ever so happy that I had remembered to pack and extra outfit!!

Oh Sunny Day...

Hot Hot weather + Lots of Sun = Slip-N-Slide time!!

Much fun was had, and amazingly enough, no one was injured!! Success!!

As you can see, he spent most of his time, just sitting at the end playing in the spray, which probably accounts for 95% of the reason there were no boo boo's, I seriously forgot how slippery and dangerous these things are!!!

My Beautiful Boy...

Dear Greyson,

Some days your tender heart just amazes me. You are such a gentle and sweet soul and your compassion at the age of 3 is so very strong and true. I hope among all things, that your compassion is something you never loose. That you forever stay, sweet, gentle and kind of heart. Those things will take you far my sweet son. I love you more than I could ever express, you are truly the light in my life.

Why, hello there...

Oh yeah, that's right, I have a blog I'm supposed to update...

I wish I had fun tales of all the great things we've been doing as a reason for my apparent lack of blogging, but alas, no, I don't. We've just been doing the same ole' thing and well, I've just not been in a posting sort of mood. However, today we did something fun so I thought I'd share!! I'll try to be better about posting as well from now on.

After a bit of a break (as in Spring Break) we finally got back to Disney today. It's sad really that I no longer need a map to get around the park, my 3 year old can tell me which way to go to get to any attraction, character, or snack joint, he also knows the short cuts and where the fast pass distributions are... yeah, maybe we go a tad often??

Meet "Jelly"

This is Jelly:

He’s the newest member of our household. Jelly’s home was inhabited by a gold fish named Heaven (lived 40 hours) and a second goldfish also named Heaven (lived 6 hours), before we realized that our home is apparently the place gold fish come to die. So, we found Jelly, he’s a blue male beta fish and apparently he didn’t get the memo that this is the last stop before flush town because he’s hanging in there, and Greyson LOVES him. I love him as well because unlike goldfish he a.) lives b.) barely eats anything and c.) you only have to change his water once a week!!
